"Pinkies Up"

This is the book created from 

the wedding dress worn by my future 

daughter-in-laws Grandmother!

Her mom used it as her sign-in book

 for her bridal shower...

and she asked me to recreate a similar 

front panel to hers...  

so it could now be used again 

by the next generations bride!

I asked her Mom to explain 

exactly what she wanted... 

(measurements, color & wording)

and then I set to work.

My Bernina 880 was "locked and loaded"!

And finally... fully embroidered:

I needed it sized and shaped to replace a previous emblem from family album.

backed & ready to be bound:

It will be stitched in place atop the cover

 of the sign in registry at my 

future daughter-in-laws bridal shower.

Creation of a Dove & Flower Shadow Box 

Wreath for Wedding gift:

I embroidered full design out 

on water soluble backing...

using my Bernina 880 and 

Dove and Flower Embroidery Wreath 

from Sweet Pea Designs.

Once embroidery completed,

I cut as much aways from backing as I could... and dissolved the rest with running water in the sink and then let dry flat.

Then I began the full design embroidery again-

 from the beginning,

 atop an embroidery fabric.

Once embroidery was completed,

I layered previously created embroidery 

atop and added beads... 

and let dry before framing.

This is the first frame I tried...

 but it seemed to get lost in the shadow box. 

So I started over in a frame with a double Mat.

and finally,

Here is the gift for the kids,

 I ended up with.
