Creating Cruising Ducks

We r returning to cruising...

and giving it a go on 

Royal Carribean's "Allure of the Sea's".

To say a ship this massive 

& out of my comfort zone 

would be a bit of an understatement!

But, it is as family gathering,

so I am being a team player.

My niece suggested I play

 along with the ducks.

Ducks??? I questioned.

Well, I fell in that one 

quick- and deep.

First I shopped and ordered a kit off amazon.

BUT,

 then I decided- to heck with those-

& to just give it a go- 

and created my own! 

Frankly, 

I am really glad I did.

I found a long forgotten 

disc in my 

AnitaGoodDesign 

stash of a duck & 

I was on my way!

I ordered yellow faux leather 

bedazzled sheets, 

tassels, and keyring supplies 

off amazon- 

and I was ready have a go at it!

I love my Bernina 880- 

even with a bedazzled frenzy 

and many broken needles- 

we plugged along!

I added on the "RC" and the "2023"

The pack had several diff yellows, 

so there are many varied ducks!

After embroidery was complete, 

I added my tassels, tags, 

and put them all together.

(after figuring out how to assemble 

the tassel key ring, that is.)

I even filled out all the tags...

& attached with printouts of the

 FB link the group wants shared. 

Am I suddenly a true RC team player?

I ended up creating 22 duckies!!!

border is machine stitched in place

Free Standing Cardinal

A ‘lil bird told me I needed 

to take a break from EPP 

and ITH quilt block creation. 

This quick free standing 

cardinal project completed on 

my Bernina 880 from the 

July OESD premier collection 

was just what I needed!

And then I just add layer by layer...
