8 weeks later...
Shoulder surgery recovery going slower than I'd like. But I am very grateful for the results. Rotary cutting has been a NO-NO and it took me until this week to finagle it. So my limited craft energy has been spent creating Christmas ornaments! I'll make a post ASAP. (Still need to take photographs)
Nebula Block of the Month will officially begin next week. I am now behind 3 projects in J2N. I have learned so much and am very grateful for all the skill sharpening focus achieved.
I was able to sew in half hour spurts this past week and finally caught up on CANDY DISH- PROJECT 5 (Weeks 9 & 10)
As always- her patterns are fantastic & the J2N support group lets me feel like I have a cheer squad.
I cheated and used Tula Pinks new LineWork fabrics
because I had a hexi stack of precuts-
and for now- it was a huge help to have less to cut.
I really took full advantage of clip pins this project- and did it over several days to avoid over stressing my new bionic shoulder
My Babylock Elissimo does a great job with walking foot
Once pieced- Reality of how much must be trimmed sets in :(
I added a border- and quilted over next few days
I created an envelope backing to hold inner pillow
