Sewing Selvages and Welcoming Ricky

I have a house full of guests... so it left little time to do anything much for myself...
the one thing I did snag a few minutes here and there for was to sew together some fabric selvages for the outside of a bionic gear bag workshop I have coming up next week!
I carefully sorted through my stack for favorites.
Then I added  a 2 1/2 inch strip down center to allow selvage direction to change so it will go upward on both sides when bag is open.
(Hopefully these measurements will work out...

After 2 weeks of stress & frustrations with my local repair shop...

After much deliberation, 

I finally decided to take the plunge and buy a new sewing machine. 

It's the Bernina SE, the Ricky Tims model, and let’s just say…

I think I may fall in love with it.
